New card!

Alright gents would love some advice on a new graphic card! Long story short..... 2008 I built new system, after few years didn't use it much so sold it! Anyway I'm buying it back and obviously needs upgrading! What graphic card should I get for under £100? Currently have 2 x 8800gts sli and motherboard is a msi p7n, 4 gig ram! I can get a gtx480 for about £70? Back in the day I new the ins and outs of pcs but that time has passed! Thanks gents!

Don't buy back that old system...just build a new build from scratch.

Socket 775 is too dated now, and most CPU for it would bottleneck the more modern cards. My old Q6600 overclocked to 3.60GHz was bottlenecking even my 5850 (especially in games that don't use all 4 cores), which is around 20% slower than the GTX480.

Have to agree with Marine-RX179 , anyways heres a choice of gpu's

The 7790 is within budget and a good card but if you can stretch then the 7850 is a great choice.

Also there are free games with certain AMD cards.

You'd be surprised...I have another system which my E5200 overclocked to 4.25GHz would bottleneck my 9800GTX+ (around 15% faster than a 8800GTX)

Thanks for the replys gents, I wasn't after sublime gaming however the situation has changed now! Was offered a dell xpsl702 laptop for £250 and I couldn't say no as it does the job for now!
