new case £90 budget

hey jus this moment i decided i want a new pc case, so i have been looking at the Antec P180 SPCR Advanced Super Midi Tower Case /Antec P180 Advanced Super Midi Tower Case on ocuk.

have 2 questions

1. what is SPCR and y does it add £10 to the price

2. is it realy a good case? or is there better for price

i like the look of it and dont realy care for the light up pc now

main thing i want is silence or close to it

my gfx card pretty much silent (accelero vga cooler) and cpu will be when i get a Scythe Ninja and repplace the fan on it

The SPCR tag on it is because the case itself was designed by the staff of Silent PC Review, a website basically devoted to silent computers. As for the quality of the case, Antec on the whole are good, strong, well built cases with very little sound escaping from them. But because it does carry the Antec label you are looking at added cost. If you don't need the silence then you can look cheaper for cases, if not, I'd stick with this.

If your PC is already quiet then it is a very good case to go for.

If your PC is not low noise already, then placing it in the P180 will not make it miraculously become silent; good for the last step.

Good case, little pricey but nothing really wrong with it. It does not suffer from the same problems that sometimes occur on the normal P180.

soo no difference between cept colour?

i think i will go for the black

also do u think i should replace the 120mm fans with Akasa AK-183-L2B Ultra Quiet 120mm Fan
or are the ones supplied good?

Try them and see.

Fans are quite personal, I prefer the ambers but others prefer the nexus ones, but I find they make a hum just on my hearing range that annoys me no end, the air moving noise the ambers make is much better for me personally.

well def getting the p180 now in black, had a look around and ocuk is cheapest i found , everyone else sells silver only and for sometimes more

with p&p pushes the price over £100

ocuk should do free postage over a certain value me thinks

The p180 SPCR is a lovely case. I warn you though, its not easy to build in due to the layout and compartment dividers. But onece everything is in, its a great case.
