Hey all,
I just upgraded some of my PC parts - basically went from AMD to Skylake.
My previous board was the Asus Sabretooth 990FX R2.0 - which was great. However, went with the EVGA Z170 Classified for my 6700k.

I am still housing everything in my 3yr old HAF 932 Advanced case (which i bought here), but came acrosss a couple of niggles.
1. The USB 2,0 front panel connections - on the Sabretooth, had ports to connect to. However, on the Classified board, can only see a 3.0 and 3.1 port to attach cables to. Thus, the USB 2.0 ports on the front of the case are now non-functional.
2. The motherboard is EATX, which is fine. However, the bottom of the mobo is now just touching the top of the PSU - which I don't like.

So, I want something a little bigger and was looking at the Corsair 900D case. However, I keep reading that the bottom flaps are very weak and fall open at the slightest touch. Is this still an issue or have Corsair resolved the problem ?

Would you have any recommendations in regards to other cases that may be similar in size and build ?

Also looking to go from my NH-D15 to the new ekwb Predator 360 - so that would be a consideration.

Finally, can I ask - do Overclockers.co.uk provide a CPU DeLid service ?

Many thanks.

Wouldn't bother with delidding unless you're after extreme overclocks on your CPU and will be watercooling or using a high-end cooler.

The 900D is massive, and would be better suited to a large multi-GPU setup, something like a Phantek or NZXT would suffice, depending on what you want from your system.

The EKWB is quite expensive for a all-in-one cooler unless you're thinking of expanding?

£500 for a case and cooler is a lot of money.

Thanks for the reply ReaperGuy. Much appreciated.

The only reason I ask about CPU Delidding service is because the SiliconLottery (I think in Texas) provide a service for $49.95 (ex P&P).
Also, I read on the OCUK forums that 8-pack said he has Delidded 10+ Skylake chips and got me thinking they must provide a service.

Anyhow, running P95 Blend for an hour on my 6700k at stock with a NH-D15 and it hit 60 deg C, thought that was high. Had my FX8350 OC'd to 4.5GHz at 1.43V and it topped at 63 on the same test. That said, this is my first Intel Cpu so can't really compare.

I know the 900D is quite large but I like all the space below and above the Motherboard. Like I said, the bottom of my EVGA Z170 Classified touches off the top of my PSU and I can't use the bottom 6-pin PCI-E power connector (not that I want to right now)..

In regards the ekwb Predator AIO, that is something I just want to try out as I have cooled my last 3 PC's on AIR only but that one appeals to me, even at the price.

Cheers for the help - much appreciated !
