Hi guys,

Basically I have my old Shuttle SH55J2 mini-atx computer and is still working so good that I have not considering change it. However I recently moved to a new home and due a negligence on my part I lost the case cover and the bars that support the hard drives :o

So that's why I am asking if someone know which case it might be compatible with my Shuttle model as this model is definitively discontinued. Also mentioned that I have been searching in Ebay for this parts and there are none.

This is how my PC looks today, very aesthetic at all.

As you've found, getting spares for shuttles is very hard as with each chassis change the dimensions are altered slightly which makes sourcing replacement covers and brackets very difficult to get hold of.

Recently (I say recently, my last shuttle was from 2004!) Shuttle changed the cases so they could accept ITX motherboards (which yours is capable of taking) but I'm not sure how well the shuttle motherboard will fit in a new case as it is longer than an ITX board (but should still fit in a case using a micro ATX layout), so it should be fine in any mATX case or an ITX case with space for a longer motherboard.

Another issue is if transplanting to a new case is the cooler might not fit, on a micro atx case it would line up with the rear fan vent but you'd have to find a way of attaching the 92mm fan to the heatsink rather than to the case.

There's a J1 case on auction but I'm not sure if the 5mm difference in length is due to the chassis or the front panel, or if any of the screw holes line up for the drive bay, it might be worth considering then selling the spare PSU to get some of the cost back.
