I've just bought a new Akasa 80mm blue led case fan. It comes with 4 mounting screws but i've just tried them and they wont go through the holes on the fan? something i'm doing wrong which i'm too stupid to see? or is it soemthing else?

anyone?

they will cut their own thread in the plastic. it may be tight to screw them in first time.
dont want your fan falling out :p

ah thanks a lot, just managed to do it... er one thing tho.. there were no 'nuts' with it?.. so erm how am I supposed to attach it to the case? sorry if it's a bit of a stupid question but im kinda clueless ^^

Thanks

I got some rubber fan holders from another site when I ordered some Silenx fans, they hold them solid against the case and there is no rattling etc.. as there is a rubber stop between chassis and fan. About 1 minute to mount a fan solid.

One of the best 'little things' I've ever used.

Old bike inner tube, just cut out strips, you only need to use them on the contact points (around the screw holes) I don't think it makes much difference, unless they're deltas and the case is thin aluminium.
