After much thought I think i've finally decided
Obsidian 800d
Im going for these fans for top and ontop of the 140mm at the botton
and Scythe Kaze Master Ace to control them

what sort of extensions or splitters do you think im going to need to be sure the cables reach the fan controller ?
I plan to have all HDDS's in hotswap section< dvd drive just above that and fan controller just above that, leaving 3 top bays empty

without knowing the length of the attached cables its impossible to know but i didnt need any extensions to hook mine up so you probably wouldnt need any yourself! wait and see how it works out.
also i would possibly get a higher rpm fan as that will give you the option to krank it right up for benchtesting but you will still be able to wind them down quiet with the fan controller for general use and gaming. hope that makes sense and is of help . look forward to seeing how it works out too!

No disrespect GJO2, but the 800d case is less than perfect for an air cooled setup, the 800d suffers badly on air intake. Its a great watercoolers case that needs no modding for a good wc setup, but on air cooling it is pretty poor.

If you want something like the 800D thats good for aircooling but can also be used for watercooling later I would look at the CM ATCS 840 m8, it doesnt come with a window panel but you can get a after market window panel from CM very cheap I think I paid £25 for my panel. As for fan extension cables im using 90cm Bitfenix cables they are very good and a decent length.
