In the mood for something special, and have budgeted £550 for this little project to see it through, for everything mind!

The outline of the plans I have so far are:

  1. MUST be unique
  2. MUST be a good case to begin with
  3. MUST look good!
  4. MUST be Coolermaster or Lian Li orientated

I was originally considering getting a Lian Li v1000+ anodised to a high standard, but that proved to be to difficult, so its onto plan B).

Thats where you lot reading this come in, I need help to make this mod a success and I am in no hurry to complete it.

The current idea I am working on is based on the Coolermaster Wavemaster case, not the greatest in terms of function but it can make a striking statement.

Anodise the case red, have it polished up and have a red tint window with Yewen etched into the side. What I am taking a liking to (even though I do not like windows much!).

I think that this could look very cool, but am just wondering what everyone else thinks of this idea, and here is a photoshop someone kindly made for me if you want a idea of what it will roughly look like.

Looks really good mate

But what about the praetorian 732? Personally I like the case and it has a slightly better all round design than the wavemaster. Also, there is one done in red on that site I showed you and it looks great

Once I have this mouse Upto a high (well, for a novice) standard you can have it for this project :p

Slightly better all round design yes, but it does not look as good in my opinion.

Looks are coming first in this little project! Dont mind if the case has terrible cooling, its a throwback to the ATCS era and would be a nice tribute :D

The rover red mouse! Although that is the colour but with a bit more shine that I am after.

I don't suppose anyone knows where you can get glass with a red pigment in it, or another way of having high quality glass made?

It will look good...and be pretty reflective.

I am doing 3 layers of primer, 5 of the main paint and 4 clear lacquer.

You will have to swap the LEDs in the font for a red one of course, and what about using vinyl dye on plexiglass for the windows? (if possible)

I don't know, I have never looked into anything but a stock window before!

I do not usually like them, I have found a wavemaster done up, although I would want mine to be anodised rather than painted, with a slightly darker colour!

More akin to the original picture!

Yes but it is not a anodised case is it :(

Has a real appeal! But could get some awsome design done to the case maybe.....

A giant sheep painted on the side sounds tempting :p

I think itll look good red but i think the grey parts on the picture would look better black  , and maybe find a striking led colour for the power and hdd LED's. How bummed would u be if coolermaster decided to bring the case out in the same colour you choose and youd payed 300 quid or whatever its going to cost  .

Why was the Lian Li too difficult ?, a v1000 would look exellent anodised red, but the coolermaster is also a good choice.

a red wavemaster would look fantastic... i would make your own custom window design with a jigsaw it would look a lot better that is what i did on my wave master... its somewhere in case central thread called my case if you want a look... then with some UV red acryllic it would be awesome

hey man went looking for your case that is fantastic looks ace give me it :)

In response to Mark A, the v1000+ is in two peices, not the usual 4 and it is a pain to take apart and put back together, its built so well it makes anodising nigh on impossible / very expensive.

I highly doubt coolermaster will release any more wavemasters, they are based on a 2002 interior design afterall, and under the ATC branding have been available to buy for 5 years.

ichabod crane truely stunning, the extra lines make that mod!

Youve now got me considering 3 of them but a bit bigger and a laser cutting of Yewen for a window :)

I know I do not need one, but I can not just copy your one! Got to go one step further if I can.....

I will add you to msn to see if you had any other plans you could not do, as you seem to have some very nice ideas on what a case should look like :D
