hey, I have been having some major problems with blue screens, random restarting etc (long story) and have been reading up for months on trying to sort this problem out... so I have come to the conclusion that it is getting too hot inside the case. The reason I think it is the heat is because today has been pretty damn hot and it has been giving me problems constantly. Im fed up of having a huge house fan next to it which makes so much noise.. and seeing I spent like £100 on this case I dont want to have it with the side off.

But anyway... can anyone recommend me a case with VERY good cooling, LOTS of space and overall a good case... Im willing to spend any amount.. obviously not £500 or something stupid but I just want to sort it out.

Thanks

EDIT: oops my bad I forgot to say my setup

AMD Athlon 64 FX-55
1GB ram (not sure how you see what make etc. lol)
Nvidia GeForce 6800 GT
some sound card from No competitor talk please!, a pos :)

well the thing is, this case really is quite small inside.. everything seems pretty close and ive tried everything, getting dust out, reseating etc.

I just want to try a new case now, im fed up with it so much that I dont mind spending some more cash.

the case its currently in is a Coolermaster Wave Master - Silver (No PSU) (CA-037-CM) but in blue.

Im not overclocking any of the PC and using a ThermalRight XP-90 (Socket 754/939/478) Heatsink (HS-018-TR)

I think it is mainly the graphics card getting too hot too, if that makes any difference. Im not bothered about looks anymore, just want the damn thing to be stable.

Thanks

ok had a look at the Akasa Eclipse 62 Aluminium Case & Window (BU-000-AK)

it looks good and if you recommend it then ok :D

do you know if i have to buy fans extra with that aswell? if so which ones would the right size?

Yeah well I will have no use for the wavemaster after, how much would he/she pay?

Thanks

i just read that the Remote is the core temp for GPU, i dont know much about this technical stuff though. THe problem I have been having has been annoying people for months and from reading up on it I came to the conclusion it was to do with the graphics card overheating, so if that is the one causing it then whats the best way of cooling it down?

edit: sorry the PSU i am using is an Enermax something, cant remember the power :/

well i can try running a game for a bit now, but the problem is it will probably do the blue screen hehe

thanks for your advice anyway

ok the number it shows SOMETIMES is 0x0000008E

and something about nv4_disp.dll and sometimes it is win32 or something like that.

I did the torture test and it had a fatal error without even a minute going by hehe.

Ahh ok, the RAM i have is crucial ballistix and not sure of the pc- part... i really cant remember all the details about it hehe. Does this mean I need to replace the RAM? :/

Nope not overclocked, I suppose if this is the problem its good news aswell, how much RAM is recommended these days, 1GB still? I use the PC for high end games and basic internet browsing. And is there any nice reliable ones :D

Edit: i couldnt seem to get that Memtest to work, and also couldnt find a floppy disk around here, all CDs now hehe. If they are known for causing trouble I think its better to just replace them with a different brand maybe.

my PC doesnt seem to like trying to run Memtest, it freezes up when it goes the command prompt part, is there any others for testing memory?

Ok, taken one of the sticks of RAM out, ran the Prime95 torture test and it runs perfectly fine... cant believe how slow my PC is with only 512 RAM hehe.

So this means im buying new RAM ?

Then i will go for that, thanks man you have been a great help... now lets hope I dont get another faulty stick hehe

Thanks again
