Hi'a

I bought a cheap case from a diff website to build my misses a pc,

So get it delivered, open it up and...

rather then having 9 machined holes for the copper standoffs which the m/b sits on it has just 3. All along the front near where the h'ds sit.

The other 6 holes are pushed out like nipples and it appears that the m/b is to sit on them?? I'm a bit concerned that if i was to do this it would screw the m/b by touching direct to the case

i've tried to attach a pic don't know if it'll work tho.

any one experianced this kind of design before?

Isnt this the old style on some cheap cases? I remember building machines with the "Nipple" standoffs, and dont worrk they will be fine to use.

EDIT:- like this?

As long as they all match up to screw holes on your motherboard then it should be fine.

A way of checking that I came up with is to put your motherboard on a large piece of paper, then use a pen or pencil to mark where the screw holes are then put the bit of paper in the case to check. Because the paper is more floppy that your average motherboard you can soon spot where the unwanted lumps are!

PK!
