Hi

I have the following setup

Phanteks Evolv atx modded with extra 2 cm clearance on front plate
5820k @4.2 core and cache 1.26v Antec h1200 pro clc idle 32 load 79 and fans on max
Gtx 980ti Nzxt g12 with Asetek 570lx clc idle 27 max 49 fans really quiet

Antec is in the top for cpu
Asetek is in front for GPUs

Ok so my problem is it’s damn noisy on the cpu cooler Antec h1200 pro and temps are not great considering

Want to make this quieter

So these are what I have think my options are

1 Change cooler for something quieter please advise

2 change the case and cooler please advise

Coolers I like Bequiet pro 4 or Corsair 115 RGB platinum Nzxt x62

Cases I like Fractal R6 and Phanteks Primo

Lots of possibilities. While the Evolv ATX does not flow a lot of air, with a couple of good front intake fans it does flow enough to supply cool air to a 140mm GPU cooler and a 2x/3x 80/90mm fanned GPU cooler. I'm running i7 [email protected] under TRUE Spirit 140 Power and KFA2 GTX 770 LTD OC w/ 3x F2 fan mod and everything is cool and quiet.

That said, the Define R6 with a couple of good front intakes and a bottom intake will flow a little more. Enthoo Primo has much more airflow an comes with 5x fans.

I guess it's all up to how much you are willing to spend. A bigger airflow case will definitely help, and to me and many others the best way to cool is with good air coolers.

I'm using several cases including old Define R2 modifed for 140mm fans, Enthoo |Luxe, Evolv ATX, Evolv mATX, new NEO and am now building new Evolv X.

Evolv Primo is quite big, bigger than anything I've used in many, many years. It has very good airflow, even better if raised up on open center base so there is a about 35mm of space between bottom and floor. This makes a huge difference in bottom airflow. When I was using mine I removed the center panel from front vent and that helped a little, but not as much as I had expected so I put it back in. Reason I'm not using Primo is because it is too big to fit under most desks.
