New case&psu wont post 1st time *HELP!*

I've just purchased a new Antec P182 and Corsair HX620 PSU. The guts of my system apart from the PSU are all the same. When I push the power button the system seems to fire up, the fans spin and the motherboard light is green. However NO POST. Also I cant hear the hard drives starting up.

If I reset the system a few times it will post fine and work great until I switch off.

I have read that it could be a bad earth? Has anyone had similar experiences? Maybe the PSU?

Surely if any parts were faulty the system wouldn't run when it does post. I think I've read somewhere that it could be the hard drive. When it does finally post I can hear the drive kind of clunk to get going??

Any thoughts??

I'l take that as as a no then.

Sounds v-dodgy, I'd instantly look closer at the PSU since it doesn't like cold booting, check all cable connections etc. maybe somethings lose? if not try and borrow another PSU see if the problem persists.

Thanks, I will take out the motheboard, and check all cables. I hope its not the psu...its brand new from OcUK.

theres been a lot of good things, and even a thread about bad things with the corsair PSU's, but theyre bragging to the higher end of the pricetag, so you would expect quality straight out the box with no issues.
