I've coaxed her indoors to buy me a new case for my upcoming birthday, but I'm not sure which one to go for, I've got a choice between the following and wondered if anyone could pick me out the best one.

Coolermaster Stacker 830 (my personal preference, but I know nothing about it)
Akasa Eclipse-62 + window panel
Lian-Li PC V1000
Antec P180
NZXT Lexa (not overly sure on this one, looks exceptionally plasticky)

Thanks

v1000+
P180 SPCR
Eclipse

In that order, v1000+ is built the best, P180 SPCR is quite nice to look at fridge style and quite a good cooler, its drawback is it is slightly tricky to build in but a saving in price over the v1000+ makes up for this fact.

The Eclipse is the safe bet as it is a standard style case, go with this one if you are at all unsure as bar the plastic front it is faultless from my perspective.

Or if your feeling brave, buy a Asus Vento in bright green. :p

Such a shame. A nice aluminium front would have made this case a classic.

The PC-7 has plastic end-caps on the front panel. They disgust me. You really need a V1x00 for aluminium purity.

Or get your priorities right and realise that for a serious rig you need serious cooling and get the Eclipse.

Fanboy TBH. :p

V1000+ or Eclipse for the win!

but i would go for the silverstone tj07 just to make it special.

Sexyness?

The TJ07 and the V1000+ both look practically identical. If you're going to choose between either of them, pick the Lian-Li. I think the Eclipse is an incredibly ugly case.

The plastic I assume you're talking about is the black strip along the top. It's hardly noticable on a black case, and even on the silver one it looks really nice. They may disgust you, but I really like it. It's not exactly tacky now is it? Each to their own.

The closest case out of all those to the stacker 830 is probably the P180 (in terms of what you may like). Personally, if you're aiming for all the same price range, get the P180. If you have more money to spend, get the V1000+.

i love my Lian-Li PC V1000 plus. Well built case with plenty of room and great airflow. Ive also had the eclipse which is just as good.

Id go for the Lian-Li PC V1000 for looks and the eclipse for room inside

I couldn't agree more. V1x00 series are the best looking cases ever made in my opinion, and the way the prices are now, there is almost nothing in it for cost between an Eclipse with 2 Ambers and the V1000+ with the ADDA fans.

No they dont tbh, the TJ-07 looks far better!

Personal opinion, I say the v1000+ but it means nothing.

Down to you after you have seen them both in the flesh, nobody can choose the look of a case for you.
