New Case Suggestions Please

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can suggest me a quality case.

Number One Ultimate priority: Cooling

I'd ideally like the following to help with my overclocking project, and am thinking a new case rather than my pantsy Soprano case will greatly help air flow. So this is what I'm looking for:

Front: Minimum 1x120mm Front intake - PREFERABLY 2x120mm.

Rear: Minimum 1x120mm Rear Outake with space around it to fit a W/C radiator from my Thermaltake kit. I'd preferably like to be able to fit a 120.2 water cooling rad at some point, so please bear this in mind.

Side/Top: Whatever helps with cooling I'd REALLY like some space near to or alongside the Motherboard I/O Panel which allow me to mount a fan to vent out the air coming from the power regulators on the motherboard. I'm hoping to cover the mosfet with some VGA RAM heatsinks.

Cool is the order of the day, so something made out of aluminium would be interesting, although not essential.

No. of bays is not essential - I currently only need 2x5.25" and 1x 3.5".


Not bothered by the fans themselves, I have a decent set of fans already.

Any help appreciated.

Akasa Eclipse is about the best basic air cooling case about, room for watercooling aswell.

The Lian Li G70 however I feel would probably be the best option, acres of space to mod in a 120.3 rad if you like, and decent air cooling.

Anywhere from £70 - £120 I think.

I was thinking the Coolermaster Stacker 810, if I can still get it anywhere or the Antec P180

The Lian Li G70 is deffo out of my price range.

From what I've heard, the stacker really isn't what it's cracked up to be. Yewen will hopefully be able to confirm this.

What about the Akasa Eclipse 62? It's one of the best for cooling and well in your price range at £82.19 including VAT.

The P180 isn't a bad case, but for the money there are better available, I'd imagine the PC-7+ should be large enough.

Stacker 810 is a goodun, solid case. Not to my style but has nothing majorly wrong with it.

Nix your on about the 830, which is dire.
