New case - suggestions please?

Hi all,

First post!

Anywho, i'm looking to build myself a nice new rig but I just can not decide on a case, what i'm after is something with nice airflow, can accomodate an 8800GTX without modding and looks great. Was looking at the Lian Li range but the PC-7 doesn't seem to fit the GTX right.

Any suggestions are welcome and price isn't a problem, but good value though

I was pretty sure that the PC-7 fitted the GTX easily?

depends on the motherboard, i can see on my DQ6 that pci-e slot is raised up higher so the hdd cage doesnt get in the way but if your pci-e slot is quite low the hdd cage may need to be removed.

if money is not problem get the pc-7 if you want to save a bit but if you really want a solid case that will last for donkeys get a v2000.

Just checked out the v2000, seems to be a bit of an overkill in terms of size etc, however just found one of these

Seems like a pretty solid case to me?

I do like the Lian Li's but they're either massive or the one that I was looking at seems to be a bit risky with the kit. Probably being picky lol.

Buying all the kit then fitting it all only to find some things dont fit properly or certain things need to be done to allow them to, i.e PC-7 and mobo/GTX could have potential problems.

Nice, are those wheels removable? Also what the round bit in the middle of the drive bays about?

The wheels are removable. the round bit in that shot is Messiah Khan's reservoir for his watercooling system. It comes from the factory with one optical drive stealth cover and the rest of the bays have aluminum blanking plates.

off topic, is that a bullseye res on the front?

as im after one but never really seen what they look like installed.

All the photos of the Bullseye have four bolt holes. This one appears to have five. Other than that it does look similar. To find out conclusively you'll have to ask Messiah.

would just like to say. WHAT A FIRST POST!

i have a v2100 next to me right now, lovely case, very solid. To solid in fact as when i tried to get a hdd cage out the screws would not budge.
