Hey guys. (Second thread of the day) :p

I'm thinking of upgrading my old iCute case to a newer one that is actually sturdy and doesn't brake so easily!

I was looking at the Lian-Li PC-7 PLUS case because it looks pretty damn strong and looks good, too.

I have a few questions about it though.

Is there enough room for me to fit my 120mm rad at the back of it with minimal drilling/cutting.

Will my Hiper Type R PSU fit properly?

Will all of my components fit properly without cramming it all in?

ABit AV8 3RD Eye MOBO
2x 80GB HDD's (IDE)
nVidia GeForce 6800LE GFX card with Asetek DYO water block.
DVD/rw drive
Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS with front panel.
Asetek WaterChill CPU block.
Danger Den HDPE Res.
Asetek pump. (Not sure which model)
Hipper Type R PSU

I've read the case sticky at the top but it didn't have the information I needed TBH.

If that case isn't suitable could you please show me one that's the same sort of style that will be okay with my components.

Cheers.

Yes, to everything your asking about PSU and components.

The rad should fit externally where the case fan goes without any hassle if that is what you mean?

Yeah, that's what I mean. At the moment I've had to bodge the rad on because I only have an 80mm fan mounting thing and I don't really want to be doing that again.

Just to clarify it does have a place for a 120mm fan on the back?

Cheers. :)

It should do, but always best to phone the place your buying from to make sure you get the new PC7+ version with a 120 / 120 configuration. Although almost all the PC7+'s now should be dual 120mm.

But it should be fine :)

I do not have one, but have used loads :D

The bad points to the case, well the motherboard mounting plate can flex a bit to much in my opinion, but thats it, stunning case for the money and I think its the best case under £100 personally.

I think you may struggle fitting the rad internally to the rear of the PC-7 as the space may be too small for the extra width of the rad over the fan, externally it will interfere with lip on the side panel.
The front would be easier, but at the expense of the HDD cage.

If you're not keen on chopping up a case to fit a rad, the old Stacker STC-T01 is one of the best available.

A single, dual rad or triple rad can easily be fitted at the bottom of the case over the vent panel which is slightly narrower than a full 120mm rad width, with the option of a few cuts to enlarge the width slightly if required to increase the surface area / performance.

i recieved my pc7+ from overclockers today it come with 1 120mm fan in the front, 1 120mm fan in the back, and top blow hole empty ready for 80mm fan if you need it

im over the moon with the case no sharp edges looks great lovley finish to it just waiting on psu to build it all will let you know more then
