Need a new case since my aurora is to small for my 8800gtx :D (i measured it wrong :mad: )

What i need is:

ATX

Big enough for a 8800gtx

I dont really want to do any modding but i can if it means i can fit my 120.3 rad
(Thermochill PA120.3)

I do like the look of the Lian-Li PC V2000B :D
and
Lian-Li PC V1000 PLUS Black (Would go for this.. its cheaper?)

black or silver . dont mind

maybe a removable motherboard tray?

maybe a side window :P

Price limit - 180 at the max

(Cant think what else i need.. meh)

thanks

or you could go completely over the top and get a Mountain mods case. The reason the v1000 is cheaper than the v2000 btw, is because its the smaller cousin of the v2000. Both great cases though. :)

Akasa Eclipse 62 Aluminium Case

Would that be better to fit a 120.3 rad in?

I no it can hold a 8800gtx :D

so the v2000 will hold a 120.3 rad and fit a 8800gtx yeah? :)

I would expect so. You will most likely loose the end PCI slot and the top drive bay though if you mount it at the top. Another option is to mount it in the bottom compartment and move the harddrives into some of the 5 1/4" bays or squeeze them in at the bottom.

Thats an example of how to do it.

Its huge, i have 2 7800GTX 512s in mine, 6 hard drives, and its still not a mess, best thing i ever bought!! Its great the way the hdds go at the bottom, give you loads of room for gfx cards!

<----------------------->
That big! :D

210x617x625mm(W,H,D) to be exact. Its not quite the bohemouth I expected when I ordered it, but its still very big. Great layout though. Wait a few months and i'll post some pics of what im doing to mine (Phase unit/Water cooling, modded, anodised etc.) :)

i no this should be in the overclocking and cooling section but..

i have 6x120mm fans..

iv got 3 added to my rad atm if i added the other 3 on the other side would it make any difference?

+ how would it go for eg

\/ \/ \/

\/ \/ \/

--------
-------- = rad

\/ = air flow direction

or should i get both fans blowing into the rad? :X

Sorry if that doesnt make any sense :D

Where does the hot air go after the fans have spat it out of the rad :P

With that setup, you might have to mod the sidepanel to include a fan grill. like;

Another option is to mount the rad so it blows out the bottom of the case, as that is made out of the meshed aluminium.;

Ill get it to blow out of the bottem but the PSU plate etc etc have rivets on :S
so i cant move them to fit my rad in
