New case, too noisy

Ugh, I built a PC a few weeks ago and purchased this case - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...ase-black-window-cc-9011081-ww-ca-216-cs.html

The fact is, I think it just sounds 'loud'. For example my mum recently come round to stay a few nights and she always said that she could hear a humming noise, but I'm 2 floors up. I didn't realize it was this loud. What can I do to fix this problem? I mean, I don't wanna buy a new tower now after building the PC, is there anything I can buy which will help me a lot, please.

try unplugging fans first to see if it makes any difference to the noise?
change the weight of the case (add more by putting something on top) to see if that changes how the case reacts to the vibrations caused by fans, HDDs etc

My experience is that the corsair fans are very noisy, as s452 says try unplugging them to see if that makes a difference. If so it should be relatively easy to tone it down a bit. With your case having a window and the open top panel dont bother with sound proofing as it won't be worth it.

The fans aren't bad. They are just high RPM at 12v. Grid+ v2 allows voltages down to 4v where they'll be a lot quieter. A good fan controller plus average fans is a way better than expensive fans without a controller.

Although I would never run fans at constant full speed I did for a short while and I don't agree

140mm fans are generally quieter than 120mm fans, with that in mind I replaced 2 x 140mm standard Corsair intakes on a 540 Air for 3 x 120mm Be Quiet Shadow Wings. The 3 x 120MM were not only quieter but had a much less offensive sound to them at full speed

Corsair H110 AIO standard fans, replaced with Phanteks MP, both sets 140MM - the Phanteks were quieter and had a much nicer sound to them

Most (not all) Corsair fans i have used have been very loud at full speed and have often had very noticable noise at lower rpm (such as buzzing noises). As i say that is not all the time but when compared to the Fractal case fines in my define S the Corsair ones are terrible.
