Hey
I'm selling my lian li case to get a new case for watercooling ...
CAn you tell me which case is the best for water cooling : was thinking about a COSMOS S .. Can you help me in choosing the watercooling components... WAs thinking about the EK HF BLock , Sr1 360 RAD , EK bay spin res, Primochill tubing + Primochill clear fluid , laing DDC 18W + EK pump top ...

Suggestions .... 10x

Hi whats your budget and what do you want to cool? And will there be any potential additions to the loops at a later stage?

Off the wall suggestion.

140.2 in the roof of a Coolermaster 590 (factory cut-outs) Cheap option but it's actually a very good case. used a bunch of them and the builds have always been really easy.

CASE sold :D :D now really getting watercooling + new case :P budget is about 800 EUR for case + watercooling ... approx. GBP 705 ohh :D forgot to answer part of the question ... cooling cpu only i think .. with the possiblity to cool GPUS

I will suggest the Corsair 800D case and a thermochill 140.3 rad with 3 akasa apache black fans and an EK Supreme i7 cpu block and the correct EK GPU block for you graphics card and a XSPC 18w reservoir/pump.

Get the EK High flow, its better than the Supreme.
Can you get 140mm Apaches?
The Corsair case is a lovely case and a great one for watercooling.
The only thing with the Thermochill rads is fitting is a pain as they use selftappers.
I would go for a Black Ice GT Xtreme 360mm using 3x120mm Apaches. They use M4's for fan mounting which makes life so much easier.
If you want option to go GPU cooling get a DDC 18w pump.

@ Phunky
the SR-1 rad is from Hardware labs ... not thermochill...
the cpu i'm getting is the EK HF for sure

@ case suggestion... I dont like the case's looks . I know its CORSAIR but i dont like it :P..but <3 the memory modules :D:D

@ off topic question
If I buy a fan which is rated at 1500rpm -/+ 10% can I lower that rpm through some sort of controller ?

10x all

yes you can buy a fan controller to lower the rpm as to you like easily, im currently using the zalman plus and its doing a great job :)

yeah I 'm a bit confused which case to choose but i leaning towards the COSMOS S : 360 at the top + 240 @ bays and you can put another 240 at the bottom with a cut out hole

The COSMOS -S is a very good case, its what Julie is built in :)

Lots of room, could fit another loop in for the chipset if needed :D
