Ok im looking for a case that is quiet, has good cooling, looks nice and fits the akasa evo 120. Having a look around here im looking at maybe the silverstone TJ05 or the thermaltake Tsunami. It seems they are good cases and they look quite nice but how quiet are they?

Also i was wondering about the nexus Breeze 500 http://www.nexustek.nl/breeze500.htm which is about £130. anyone ever used one or have one? Will it fit an evo in the case and is it any good with cooling OC'd stuff?

Hi there mate,

Heres some choices-

Quiet- Antec P180/P150

Midi- Lian Li PC7+/ Coolermaster 530 or if you have the money, V1000+

Full tower- CM Stacker, GREAT case.

The v1100+ seems to be the one you would like the most if you can live with its looks.

Noni has just about listed the cases worth considering. The Ss TJ05 however I would say is not worth considering, and also I would disregard the Tsunami.

I would consider these cases in this order if I was buying for a quiet high cooling system;

1. v1100+
2. P150
3. Stacker (old one)

They can all be made near silent using air, the best made case is the Lian Li, the best cooling case is the Stacker; although can be more noisey than the other two. The P150 out of the box is the quietest.

I would personally avoid the p180 as some of the, albeit older model varients, had build quality issues and some are still available to buy sadly :(

I have a colleague at work who has the older version of the Nexus with the lower power PSU. It's silent. Absolutely silent. No noise at all with a Freezer 4 CPU cooler. It will fit an Evo - but the Freezers are better.

There isn't a huge amount of room in there, but it does what it says on the tin. It's quiet. And it looks very impressive, although some will criticise as it's plastic.

Ok i think i may go for the P150 although im not so sure about the whiteness or the nexus but im not sure about the airflow in that one as it only has one fan. After reading some reviews it seems there isnt a huge amount of space in the P150, is there definitly enough for an evo 120, anyone got one? Also which 92 mm fan should i go for or should i just stick in a 120 with an adaptor instead?

Silenx would be my first choice personally, although I have not used a 92mm nexus.

The ambers unless they are 120mm are not worth it imo, far superior fans out there.
