after new case. hate my asus vento 3600. its ugly, not very cool, and doesnt fit the karma in my room :D . So i want something big, black and well vented. max price £150 including p and p. I did like the antec p180, but looking through here doenst seem that good. Like the lookas of the new collermaster, but it is the top end of my price range. Also needs room for water cooling whihc im getting soon.

dante

edit: must have room for a couple of 120mm fans, and 2 12inch cathodes

Akasa Eclipse 62.

In everyway possible better than the Vento, including looks.

Oh and be prepared to be insulted for being the first Vento owner on here in a while. :p

How did you manage to fight off the other ninja turtles and steal it? :p

Oh, Lian Li PC7+ would be a great case for you or the Akasa Eclipse as clearly ugly doesnt bother you. :)

Much bigger!

It is as big as a normal sized case comes really. :)

Mark A's Eclipse (right) next to the PC7+.

PC7+ is not a small case either, but the eclipse is wide, and quite tall so makes it almost perfect for installing watercooling.

Just how plasticy is the front of the eclipse. is it decent plastic?

It is decent enough plastic, rivals any plastic fronted case I have ever seen.

I do not think I am the right person to comment on how plasticy it is as straight out I like aluminium fronts, or steel depending on the case.

It looks ok, its more a case for function than looks, and if you think of the case in that light then it is a very very good one, just don't look at it or youll be turned to stone in my opinion. ;)

Yeh thats what I was thinking. My case is fugly atm anyway since I have taken the front off so it gets some airflow!

Then you would not mind an Eclipse. :p

v1000+ going back to a Savrow SR71, I just could not do it now, but at the time there was not really and issue as the PC7 was 80mm and nothing even came within 10deg of its cooling.

£119 mind, which was a lot for the case even at the time, but worth it until I discovered the v1000, which niggles aside looked great, v1000+ though. Awe inspiring. :p
