New Case

Hi guys, i was just spec'd a new comp by my friend and i ordered all the parts yesterday but i have since realised that the case i ordered is sold out and i need this in time for Christmas but know nothing about computers. The parts i ordered are

I dont know if it even matters what case u buy tbh but could u recommend me a case to change to so i can order up and get it dispatched today please.

The link doesn't appear to work for me so I don't have a clue what you are ordering. If you need a case + PSU then I'd suggest the Antec Sonata II which includes a good 450w PSU. If you just need the case then a Lian Li PC7+ would be a good choice.

For a card like 1950XT I'd recommend getting case and PSU seperately.

I'd suggest Lian Li PC-7, nice and cheap, ordered one myself.

PSU I'd go for Corsair 520W.

The Corsair 520w and the Lian-Li PC7+ does make a good choice, I would probably have suggested that PSU as well but I wasn't sure if a PSU had already been chosen.

I agree, I would'nt feel confident running that system with the PSU that comes supplied with the Antec,

this is gonna add an extra £62 on your system build but your be much better off for it.

Ok thanks for the help guys. I guess im just gonna have to spend the bit extra for the better equip. Are the 2 psu metioned in here my best options for value/performance?

I would say so, go with either the one steve258 or I mention, there both good PSU's, good luck with your new build

Ok, thanks again for the help guys, i ended up with the Lian Li and Tagan PSU and sat delivery to get it to me 2mo

430W maybe sufficient but it doesn't leave you anyroom for future upgrades, especially when it comes to getting a new DX10 graphics card.

Good choice I've got the Tagan 530 myself and it has been fantastic, very quiet too.

The case is not bad either.

All round its a much better combination than the Antec.
