alright folks its time to get rid of my beloved Stacker and get something lighter and smaller. Thing is i do not follow the case evolution very well and i am not aware of the current offerings in the market and i need some help. i need a midi atx case, if possible an aluminium one, that can accomodate the following :

6 HDD's
8800GTS
thermaliright ultra 120 (thats very tall)
1X dvd-rw
1X floppy
tagan 600W psu

any help is appreciated :D

does the akasa have good cooling with only two cooling fans

1 front
1 back

would havning the hdd infront of the intake fan hinder the cooling of the case?

i deffo need a case that can keep my system cool

Yes the reason it's so good at cooling is because of
it's width it's a good deal wider than most cases
if you google some coolest case results i know the eclipse will be out in front
before i got mine cpu was 48-50 c idle now it's 39-43 idle.

thats good

just looked at the dimensions and its pretty big isnt it

kind of the length of a full tower, might be to big for my desk, would be going on top of the desk, how noisy and rattly is this case

thanks

It's superb build quality and virtually everything can be taken off or apart.
Not rattly at all.

No the hd's will not hinder the cooling you could put 3 in the 5'25 bay with
brackets or caddies if it made you feel better?.

hmm im warming to this case (no pun intended)

56cm deptch, bit of a tight squeeze for the top of my desk, but cooling will deffo be good with this case, with 2 x 120 fans?

Yeah the eclipse has great cooling and good quality but plastic front! Why oh why did they not go the full mile?

the prob i got is it seems i cannot have a full tower, and the length of the eclipse is the same as a full tower 56cm depth

any other alternatives, in midi form, i can ho higher and wider but not depth

Agreed on all points! Great, fantastic, excellent case but a plastic front!!!

Just buy it!

I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that the Eclipse has the best cooling of any case currently available (certainly under £200).
