As some of you may know, i'm upgrading my machine, so i'm gonna start from the outside and work in.

So...as the title reads i need a new case, it doesn't have to have a PSU as i can use my 400W one in my current case (Is that possible?!) And then can upgrade it later

Well, £50-60 to spend, and it must be a looker :D

So if anyone has any suggestions/advice it would be much appreciated!

Regards

Coolermaster CM 690, what kind of system have you got because if i were you id go with a 500W if its quite power intensive.

yes it is entirely possible to transfer the PSU mate. ;)

as for the case, i've just bought the Antec 900 Gaming Case, and am very impressed by the cooling etc. Its currently £58.99 exc. VAT. Although its not a particularly stunning case, but then again it depends what your definition of a good looking case is as i particularly like it.

or there's the NZXT Lexa, which was my previous case and that was also a brilliant case. It is currently £59.99 exc. VAT on OCUK. It has quick release drives for easy installation and they simply slide and click in. And the front has a chrome black finish, although it is available in silver too from other sources. In fact i still have my old one, but living in the Channel Islands makes it harder to sell to UK people as shipping is expensive.

I know that most of those cases will come to more than your budget, but its worth spending that little bit more to get a decently cooled and nice case that will last you over more upgrades etc. :D

EDIT

damn i was beaten to first reply whilst writing my essay. ;)

Also just seen the Thermaltake Armour Jr. Tower, which looks pretty cool. its £52.99 exc. VAT although by reading the reviews it seems if you have a 8800GTX or similar sized card you'll need to remove one of the HDD cages.

And just so you know, there is a CASE CENTRAL section which would be more appropriate for your post. ;)

Akasa Eclipse/Mirage are very good cases (large and flexible) just look at the thread dedicated to them.
and you can pick them up 2nd hand for £50ish

personally would get a new psu, its not the most powerful and a new one can save much bother in the long run.

edit: but as said above it is possible to transfer them.
