at the minute im using a fairly ok case, nothing brilliant tho.
i was going to get 2 new 120mm fans as myn are cheapo noisy, but at £12 each wouldnt it be better to get a new case!!

is there any cases with a couple of decent fans built in already for £40 - 50 max?
 
For that budget I would recommend looking at the Corsair 300R. It's a soild case with a few fans already. Although, you may want to buy a extra 1 or 2 just to make it even cooler. Sadly with that budget not that many cases will come with a lot of fans. There are some cheap fans about though on Overclockers.
 
Corsair 300R/Bitfenix Shinobi or the Zalman Z9.

All of these are pretty solid cases in that kind of price range. The only thing is, that to be honest all of them probably could do with a couple more fans put in, or certainly some replacement fans.....

I just picked up a Bitfenix Shinobi (You can see the log in the relevant section), and I would swear by it. It's a fantastic little case, comes with two very nice fans, and very good for cable management. Little touches like black front-panel connectors just make it a pleasure to work with. Fully recommended, windowed or not.
