New case!

Hi all!

I've been thinking about getting a new case, just got some new parts and can afford it if I sell my old GPU!

I'm looking at around £100 but might go over a bit if it's worthwhile.

Things I would like:
- Looks great (ofc) - I have 4 sticks of LED lit tracer ram so a side window would be good. Also have some cathode strips to re-use (blue pref but I have violet too). Colour scheme would be nice, ram can switch between red and green LED.
- Cool & quiet - Current one has fairly noisy system fans, would be great to have a quiet one for when I'm up gaming late at night, so I can hear teamspeak easily :P Also planning on OC'ing GPU('s) and CPU a fair amount when Haswell is out
- Room for large GPU and SLI(in the future). When Haswell comes out I want to get a water-cooler, so room for a decent one.
- Can house a minimum of 3 HDD 3 SSD 1 Optical drive, pref room for a few more HDD's.
- One that is good at handling/hiding cables - current pc is pretty messy.

Also; would it be worth buying separate fans for better cooling and quietness?

So, any recommendations?

Will be upgrading from a Thermaltake Armor :

I'm liking this one: Anidees AI-6BW Midi Tower

Looks a treat, and awesome amount of USB ports, always helpful as I have tons of USB gear hooked up to my PC! I'll have to look at some reviews of it!

These cases grabbed my eye, well, maybe not the pink one but the rest did :P

NZXT Phantom Enthusiast USB3.0 Full Tower Case

Do you think the size would help with cooling? I think it has more fan options and room for radiators at least.

All good cases mate, you cant go wrong with either of those two.

If you do want to add more than a dual 120 rad then perhaps the Phantom is the better choice.

If you can do without a sidewindow, then the Antec P280 is a complete bargain.

You are seriously best of looking at Youtube videos of the cases mentioned to get an idea of the size, options available and what a finished build can look like inside.

Do you wish to go watercooling at some point or to have that option to ? if going sli things I would want

A big front fan / fans I wouldn't go near 120mm front cooling these days
Removable modular hdd cages so you can get that front fan air unobstructed towards the gpus
A large amount of room between the bottom of an atx board and the psu/edge of the case like at least 2 pci slots worth of room left over (which already discounts some cases mentioned)

If you want room to watercool that narrows it down even more something like the coolermaster haf x might be good otherwise I'd look at silverstone raven cases or ft02

My current upgrade plan is Case -> Haswell(+mobo) + watercooling -> SLI

So yeah, but I don't know anything about WC, just want to make sure case has room for it among the other criteria.

Xigmatek Elysium is a bit cheaper

Interesting chap :D

BitFenix Shinobi XL

Any thoughts on this? Also sounds like it's meant for WC'ing!

Been reading up on the fractal, sounds like a great mix between silence and cooling, 2 problems stick out to me: Fitting the mobo and psu:

Looks like it could get tricky :/

Limited room for WC I think too..

Blue beast? :D

Need some advice on fans...No idea what to get, just went for most expensive with LEDS lol. Would the fan controller handle all of those?

Are those Corsair 120's worth looking at?!

Not settled on case, just trying to figure out what I'd buy with it!

They are great fans, probably the nicest LED fans you can get. They have an amazing colour. I'd recommend both the Phantom and the Fans but the 200mm and 230mm slots are not actually 200mm and 230mm so you may have issues getting other branded fans in. However I know 100% that the 200mm do not fit in the top of the case. I tried it last night.

Here is what they look like on. Not a Phantom but still you get the idea.

They look pretty sweet there! Nice and bright, get the feeling I will go with green now, might have to do some painting/modding and replace the LED's on the top O/I but should look immense!

WHat are peoples thoughts on this type of fan?

Silverstone 120mm Air Penetrator

It's got much lower CFM, but there are other benefits for it?

They also come in all sizes, you can get them in 120,140,200 and 230. So you won't have to mix and match.

Have you thought about getting a:

Corsair 650D
Spectre Pro 120mm x1
Spectre Pro 140mm x2
Spectre Pro 200mm x1
