new compact camera with RAW

I'm looking to replace my ageing canon A70 with something of a similar physical size and costs about £200.

I'm after one that can save raw files for messing with HDR, and AE bracketing would be a bonus for the same reason thought not absolutely necessary. My attempts at using jpegs for HDR was just rubbish, and with a holiday in croatia coming up in may I fancy a new camera for then.

Can anyone recommend something suitable?

cheers

I've been doing a bit of checking on the LX2 and I think that's what I'll probably go for. It does look like noise can be a problem with it though...are you guys using noise ninja or similar to clean the pics up and do they come out ok?

The FZ8 looks good, but I'm after as compact a camera as possible - ideally no bigger than my current A70 as I tend to carry it in my pocket (not good I know). I have a trip to Croatia planned in May so need to get a camera delivered by then for the holiday.

The cheapest I've seen the LX2 in the UK is a tadge over £200 for a silver one on the bay, and it seems a steal at that price. Widescreen photos, RAW, ae bracketing...seems to tick all the boxes
