New compact soundbar and sub.

I was probably looking at about £3-400 spend.
The last tv I had had a headphone out so I just ran that to the amp and a pair of Q acoustic bookshelf speakers. And it sounded great.
I am now using an hdmi out but I can't control the volume of mute the TV so it is a but clunky to use.

I tried a lg 5ny sound bar it was at costco, it's probably a similar performer to other sound bars in that price range. I don't think a spind bar is for me.
The Wiim amp could be just what i need.

£319 at the moment.

Add some speakers £100 or so and decent system, sub later, can high pass speakers built in sub features as well.,
I do have some Q accoustic 3020 speakers which are only 3 years old. One thing i like about the soundbar is the bass from the subwoofer. i may not have room for the sub.

I have ordered a wiim amp from Amazon should be here tomorrow, I would have rather got it from Richer Sounds but the are out of stock for a couple of weeks.

I got the Wiim amp and i was quite disappointed at first. I had my Q Acoustic 3010s hooked up, the sound was so thin. If I gave more beans then it opened up, but it was too loud for normal listening.

I have some old Miision 771e that i though i would try and as soon as I heard them there was a massive improvement. I will maybe look at some floor standing speakers to try.

The Wiim has gone back, just seemed to be something missing compared to my Pioneer. Bought a 2nd hand Marantz pm6005. It should do all I need for half the price.
