I have already purchased the processor just now before the prices go back up to normal price today :)

I already have HDDs and SSDs from my present system (spec in signature) so will slowly migrate everything across to the above system. Then I am moving the present computer downstairs for HTPC and games use on big TV.

I have got 4 x 8GB sticks (Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 PC3-12800C10 1600mhz Dual Channel Kit) from the special offer OCUK did in January - will these be okay with the motherboard and Haswell processer?

I'm just looking for a stable system, so I won't overclock to start with. I do have my eye on the Arctic MX-4 thermal paste - that should be okay?

Any improvements you can make to the above would be most welcome. Am also looking for a new soundcard if you know of any decent ones - not too expensive.

Many thanks. :)

Hi Deus Ex, sorry for late response. Many thanks for your reply.

I went for the 760 graphics card still as I was more into Nvidia. Though I did look at the link you posted and liked the price (and looked at the AMD range of new cards).

I also got the Gigabyte Z87X-UD5H Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard instead of the UD4H, as it has more SATA ports. And I got the Samsung EVO SSD 120gb from the reviews on this forum.

Waiting for motherboard to come today and then I can continue. Everything else including case came yesterday.

The Antec case is GOOD. I am now able to hide the cables behind the "visible" part of the case so it looks "tidy" and I got some extra in-flow fans for the front of the tower. Should be up and running this evening. :)

Got everything fitted today and powered it on. Updated the bios from version F4 to F7 immediately. And it is a version 1.0 board (I don't know the difference between the next revision).

Just having a problem with one of the front fans which is not spinning. Will replace with a spare tomorrow. I have left the computer running till tomorrow morning in the BIOs mode. And then install the OS.

Some of the cabling is a bit messy, but once I've installed Windows on it and everything is running smoothly, I will go back to looking at cabling, and putting the side cases back on.
