Hi I have recently been looking at new computer's as the computer I currently have is 6years+ old still able to play game's but everything has to be turned down

So I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to choosing the right computer so I was hoping you guy's could help me out

As a complete novice at building a computer iv always gone for the pre-built system's I was thinking about getting:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-175-OE

I'm thinking about 1K-1.2k is the price range I am willing to go will spend more if it is worth it

Is it better to buy every thing and build the computer my self (Taking in to consideration that I would have no idea what I am doing) or should I just stick with a system that is already built

Thank's for any help

Thank's for the fast reply's guy's

What kind of performance difference are we looking at if built it my self

Would it be a noticeable difference (I only use my computer for Playing game's)

No performance difference if you build it yourself, its just cheaper to get the same parts and build it yourself.

But you then have to overclock the CPU to try and match the OCUK pre-built system, which includes a full warranty and collect/return policy.

Are you confident about building yourself? no harm if your not.

Haha not even in the slightest you will probably laugh but I had to look up how to fit some new ram in to my computer even then after a about 2 months my computer started crashing/bsod would disk read error untill I opened the case and realised one of the sticks wasn't pushed down hard enough :D

What would the cost difference be? im not to bothered about £150 difference but any more than that and id probably look it to building it my self

Then building it yourself is not something I would recommend, I can usually tell from peoples posting style if they seem competent or not:D you fit in the later.

Oh thanks! haha yea well I have never really been in to the tech part of computer's just enjoy playing the game's

Guess I was pretty vague on my original post about what I was looking for

And yea it's pure gaming nothing to intensive hoping the computer would last me for about 5 or so year's
And I think it would be best if I didn't build it my self at the moment money isn't that much of an issue so id rather be safe and get a pre-built one thank's for the advice Stulid!

So now the question is which is the best Pre-built computer i could get for £1k
Original plan was for:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-175-OE

cmndr andi recommended:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-176-OE&groupid=43&catid=1444&subcat= With some addition's from the drop down menu's

Are there any other computer's to look at?

Thank's for the help guy's do you think it would be worth buying all the part's and asking the local computer shop to fit every thing for me? Im guessing the labour cost would probably be around £50? As Stulid said on their own the part's would be £130 cheaper

Think it's worth doing?

Would the local shop insist on only fitting parts bought through them?

Ah i'v no idea i would ring them up before I ordered every thing closed on Sunday's so ill have to try tomorrow

I have no idea how long it would even take to build every thing if it is as simple as putting things in to the slot's as I would naively assume it would be an easy £50 for them so as long as they arn't busy i don't see why they wouldn't do it

Your link doesnt work , just goes to the homepage,

But if you mean this - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-175-OE

with Win7 Home? then its got your name written all other it.

No point in the Crossfire option unless you have a really high resolution monitor? if the PC starts to struggle in 4-5 years time, just buy a second hand ATI 6950 2GB card and add it along side the existing card.

Yea that's it missed the last 2 letter's for some reason...
Again thank's a lot for the help and advice you should talk to the management see if you can get some kind of commission :D
