New computer won't pick up GPU

So you power it with what??? Wind power...

First time I've ever needed to double facepalm the same person in 1 thread.

Are you able to test it with another PC? If it's a 'B' grade item then it might have been returned by another customer for the same reason... OCUK do test them, but maybe it's a bit picky with certain boards or chipsets . Also, are you using all 24-pins on the motherboard power connector? Some boards still boot up using 20-pins (it's a 20+4-pin block)... Make sure both the 20-pin and 4-pin parts are connected to the motherboard ;).

Yep I'm using all 24 pins, you're prob right about the B grade thing, I had no idea that's what it meant. Looks like I'll be returning it. Thanks!

Any other decent graphics cards in the £50-£70 range? :)

Thank you :)

I'm just a bit iffy though, it states in the returns policy that unless an item is faulty they won't refund.

So another question, going by the specs I posted (above) is the card I currently own compatible with it? I assume it is but I just have to ask before risking wasting some postage money...

I tried, it's been in and out multiple times. There is only one PCIe slot on the motherboard

Soo...decent GPU for £50-£70? Anyone? I gots a new computer and I cant even use it :'(

Let's just hope your actual PCI-E slot is not to blame (closely inspect it for any damaged/bent or misaligned pins). I would still keep an eye out for a cheap 7750/7770 as they're not bad for the price. Maybe even a GTX 650 ;).

It shouldn't be, the motherboard was brand new! I'll check tomorrow anyway. Too knackered right now
