Hi all im new here was just browseing and came arcross it.. seems like a lot of people know what there talking about so i just wanted to ask.. about getting a new computer / parts

At the moment i have the following
AMD 2800xp (i know is so old ^^;)
1.5gb Ram
Geforce 6600 256 AGP

Now i want to upgrade / whole system IE: HDD , Case , PSU , Graphics card ect.. just want some advice on what to get for todays games and for the future.
This system is coming to the end of its life but its done be proud for over 2 and a half years so not bad i guess.
Now im having problems with a lot of new games IE: having to put graphics settings to lowest for me to play.
I guess somthing that can run EQ2 or F.E.A.R with MAX settings would be good? or not? im just using them as a benchmark well if anyone could help i would be most greatful

Core 2 duo system easily, if your on a tight budget then go for the E6300 they are cheap as chips.

and a 8800gts would go down nicely.

depends on your budget really.

thanks for your reply experience most greatful could u give me a complete setup if possible? like a low budget setup and a high cost setup
