New Conroe build

I have looking at the upcomming Core 2 Duo Conroe E6850 &
Gigabyte P35T DQ6 Motherboard .

This review shows it doing rather well....

So, Can anyone suggest a better bang for buck combination ?

ie, a 6320 / 6550 with the same board ?

I want a decent overclock for my new core duo build, but can't decide on the best motherboard, processor and memory to spend my hard earned cash on.

I'd have a good read on XtremeSystems forums tbh, if you are seriously wanting good overclocks then that is THE place to look.

Most go for either the Asus P5K or the Abit IP35-PRO (I went for the latter). You will also find lists of compatible memory on XtremeSystems forums for which board, personally I went for the OCZ "SLi Certified) PC8500, and its been cracking so far

E2140 (1.6GHz) @ 2.8GHz and climbing

Stock intel cooler, 32ºc idle and 57ºc orthos load.

And that 2.8GHz is now 3.3GHz

No i'm talking about the 6850 @4.8ghz for all we know that's somewhere where it's -30 outside and with phase.
