New cooler compatibility.

Hello there, I'm looking to buy a new cooler for my AMD FX-4300 which I will be soon upgrading to a FX-8350 and I was just wondering if the following cooler would be compatible with my motherboard and case.

The cooler I'm looking at is the Noctua NH-D14.
My case is the Bitfenix nova
And my motherboard is the Gigabyte 970A-DS3P

Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Hi and welcome to the forums.

In the description for the case it states that max cooler height is 160mm. The Noctua is 160mm high so in theory it should just about fit but if either ot those measurements are off you will end up not being able to fit your cases side panel.

Ahh I didn't notice that lol, well if its all compatible I guess its worth a shot I guess I can always return it if doesn't fit

I have to leave the side panel off of my case which should have also 'just fit' - I didn't like the pressure it put on the CPU.
