New cooler for 3570K.

That would be some going, as they are closed and the next pick up would be tomorrow.

Hopefully the ram may just fit under the heatsink!

If RAM is 40mm fan should be close to center.
radiator base is 52-53mm from motherboard and RAM is 40mm so 12-13mm below radiator
. . 12mm from RAM to radiator
+ 115mm radiator
+ 13mm above radiator
= 140mm fan.
+ 40mm for ram
= 180mm total = Fractal case clearnace spec.

Well i was also looking at the Phanteks PH-TC14CS "Top down" cooler,But that looks like it could also interfere with the ram.

The CS isn't a great cooler really. It's not useful if you're restricted for space and even then the Noctua NH-C14 is better.

Moving the front fan to the back of the PH-TC14PE is a simple solution because otherwise it is still the best cooler out. Even if you only used the single middle fan, you'd have better performance than what most other coolers provide.

And as Helios said, Putting fans middle and back works good.. or just a middle fan. Cooler is so good you won't have a problem.

Well here it is,Fits fine! :p

Stock vs Phanteks PH-TC14PE.

Oh that just smurfalious!
How did you find the mounting system, fan chips, etc?

The mounting system,It all seems rather good quality with no flexing in any of the mounting parts.
i don't like the part where you have to put that screw down in the middle of the Heatsink though,I bet you know which one i mean...that was a pain....had to hunt for a longer screwdriver,Then when i found one it was not the right size,So off hunting i went again. :D

Does anyone know if the thermal paste they give you with the cooler has Curing time?..and if so how long?

Couldn't really find much info on it to be honest.

There's your answer. I really like the supplied TIM. Spreads easily and works a treat.

When installing mine I install the mount complete.. including the piece with screw in the middle. Then tightened the 4 mounts in the mother board. Them put the piece with screw in middle on the heatsink.
