Hi guys
been looking for a new cooler as the noise from my stock AMD phenom 2 is starting to annoy me.
Question is i am a bit worried about buying one that overhangs my RAM or doesnt fit in general, was actually going to get the H50 but on my motherboard (asus m4a77td pro) the 12v pin is at the top near the fan at the back of the case so worried that it will get in the way and wont fit
Any of u guys recommend a cooler for me as kinda new to modding lol
thanks

Did you connect the CPU fan to the correct header on the motherboard ok? Check this first and providing you did then it's nothing to worry about as long as the fan is running. It's a PWM fan so the BIOS on your Asus board can control it's running speed (known as Q-Fan in the BIOS) so you might want to check that. Nothing to worry about however :)

You have to manually enable or disable it in the BIOS - When I enabled it at the time and then set the profile to 'silent' I got a fan error as the fan was running a good bit slower and so the BIOS think's it has stopped - I just set the CPU fan speed to 'ignored' but play around with the Q-Fan option. I think it's under 'hardware monitor' in the BIOS.

Just for info the TRUE also fits in the Antec 300. Using one at the moment on a AM3 chip with ripjaw ram with the tall heatspreaders and they still fit under it(just).
