Happens to a lot of people and the programmer hasn't figured out why since ages ago so unlikely to be fixed any time soon.

I had this problem recently on a P5b (standard) build with an E6300.

I went into the BIOS of the P5b and loaded setup defaults, and then coretemp was OK.

happens to me at higher oc's also.

no problem arround 2800 mhz, will reboot 2900 within an hour, and about 1 min to reboot at 3000..... i think of it as a stability benchmark now xD

I think that was me Hedge! :)

V0.95 fixed some kind of issue on how temps were calculated (something to do with the Delta T calculation, but I'm way out of my depth here!).

On V0.94 with my E4300, idle/load temps were 21/35 but under V0.95 they are reported as 36/55 which is pretty much the same as TAT always said.

If you can use TAT, then that should be a pretty reliable guide to your temps. Although I use Coretemp as it's nice to see the temps on the taskbar.

What does TAT say vs Coretemp V0.94 at the moment?
