SSD performance. Now in convenient travel size.

Features:

  • Uses an SSD controller for file transfer performance that rivals solid-state drives
  • Lightweight and compact, for SSD speed that's portable
  • Delivers consistently fast performance for both large and small files
  • Optimized for USB 3.0, with USB 2.0 compatibility
  • Works on Windows, OS X and Linux with no driver installation necessary
  • Durable brushed aluminum housing resists fingerprints
  • Read speed up to 450MB/second and write speed up to 360MB/second
  • 5 Year Warranty

Most USB drives are fast… until it's time to copy a large file and you're looking at a progress bar that lingers around too long. The solution? Integrate an SSD controller into a drive. Flash Voyager GTX gives you transfer speed that rivals your PC's solid-state drive. And, unlike some devices, Flash Voyager GTX delivers amazingly fast performance with large files, small files, and everything in between.

It works with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports on Windows, OS X and Linux systems, with no driver installation necessary. And best of all, it's light and compact, with a durable brushed metal housing that looks fast, too.

Only £94.99 inc VAT.

They had to can the GTX they claimed was worlds 1st native USB 3.0 drive, they made a slower GS/GT instead and I think the GTX thread and the very few peeps who got one was deleted from their forum.

This is basically a SSD with a USB connector like the ESATA drives a few years ago.

The casing is a carbon copy of the Patriot drive lol.

I saw a review don't know whether I can say his name but he has a YouTube channel and his name rhymes with minus and his tests showed these are much faster than a hdd but not quite as quick as an ssd but really close. Apparently they have a full on ssd controller and that's where it gets it's speed from.

Question- if you have a copy of windows on a USB flash drive does that mean it never gets attached to any specific mobo so you can use it in any machine and it not claim it's a counterfeit copy?

No, as soon as you connect it to a PC it will try to install drivers for all the Chipset/Storage/GPU/Sound/USB etc etc which would be a PIA if you were trying to use on multiple PC's with different hardware.

Booting from USB stick is same as a HDD, only way I can think of doing so is if you had a failure and had to get back up and running to back up files from SSD/HDD's.

I would have prepared the USB stick at an earlier date with all drivers installed so its ready to use on that one PC it was made for.
