New cpu advice please:)

Ive just got a bit of money to spend and decided I want a new cpu.

Current machine is;


Gigabyte p35c ds3r
4gb Corsair pc2-6400dhx
Intel C2D 2140 @3.2ghz
8800gt

I primarly game on this machine and the odd photoshop fiddling.

What would be the best upgrade path with a cpu? I aint afraid to overclock.

I would go with Q9550.

e8400 is a good for price/performance

What about E7400 or Q8200? depending if you want dual or quad core.
