new cpu and same frames?

so i just got the fx 8350 and im getting the exact frames i was getting with my fx 4100(when i was being bottlenecked).

can anyone tell me why?

im basically only getting frame issues in dayz which is the main game i play and i have http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-098-GI&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1673.

and i just turbo clocked the cpu im no good a oc

Probably because in most games more cores make no difference and the IPC (per core performance) between FX4100 and FX8350 is almost exactly the same.

This is why people recommend Intel, everything speeds up due to the much faster cores.

What frame rates are you getting? That cpu upgrade would have netted you about 10% max

im getting around 40-50 in forest areas and in cities about 35-40

As DG has said, ARMA engine really doesn't get on with AMD CPU's.

yeah arma can be bitchy like that i mean i do get 80+ frames with crysis 3 on high graphics its just arma and vsync helped believe it or not

yeah i realize now that it would have been easier to get some cheap intel cpu/mobo combo instead but ah well im off to learn how to oc
