Dear all. My new CPU arrived today without haribo. When did this shocking lack of snacks begin? Is it a side effect of the pandemic, shrinkflation, the End of Days? Should I log a customer service call?? It seems wrong to return my new 5800x3D over this, but... !!!

Please advise!

Return it, must be a bad batch.

Ordered a 4090 got Starmix instead of Tangfastics. Returned card.

Edit: Didn't we use to have a dedicated 'no Haribo' thread somewhere?

Yep:

"hello is this returns?"

Don't tempt.

Actually, still need to work out what to do with the other 480ml of isopropyl I was left with after cleaning the hint sink. (Couldn't buy less than 500ml!)

Dissolve haribo in it, pour it into a mold of a CPU or something, evaporate off the alcohol and send it back as a somewhat toxic protest sweet??

You didn’t need it, was just a waste of money. A tissue and a card would have got it your heat sink clean.

Maybe. On one hand, yes, that would have worked. On the other... it came up so much cleaner, faster than the last time I did this.

It was a couple of quid on a £350 CPU. Rather spend a few pounds more and be sure it's clean
