New CPU, but which one?

Hi

I have currently got a AMD 64 3500+ Winnie, I was thinking its time to upgrade, but what cpu should I go for? I have around £300 to spend.

I was looking at the AMD 64 3700+ SD, or the AMD 64 4000+ SD. Which of these chips will I see some sort of noticable performance increase?

Or is there some other chips you guys could Recomend

Hi

Thanx for all the advice, at the moment my system is
AMD 64 3500+ Winnie
Asus A8N SLI motherboard
Geforce 7800 GTX 256mb
Audigy 2
1gb G.SKill memory

I use my computer for gaming and thats about it, and the occaisonal cd burn. So I am not sure if I am ready for a dual core just yet.

Maybe I should invest in 2GB of memory to make it run a bit smoother then??
