New CPU cooler advice

Hi guys,

I really need some advice on what CPU cooler to buy for a new build. There seems to be a few main options but there's a lack of good reviews.

Here's the main components:

  • Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor
  • Phanteks Enthoo Pro Mid Tower Enthusiast Case with Window
  • Kingston HyperX Beast 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit
  • MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
I have looked into both Air cooling and some of the Corsair Hyrdo's but any advice would be excellent. Budget is no more than £100 but preferably less.

Yeah I've heard good things about Raijintek coolers. If you want to try an AIO cooler such as the Corsair Hydro series buy a refurbished unit on the cheap. You get 1 years manufacturers warranty and don't have the huge outlay of a brand new unit.

I bought my H80i for £35 and with a bit of new thermal paste it runs beautifully. Be warned though some mobo's are a bit funny with the mounting system, in which case just use some rubber washers on the back of the mounting bracket which brings the CPU and Cooler fully together.
