New CPU cooler needed

Hi, looking for advice on a new CPU cooler

I have an Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 3.2 GHz sitting on a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P (Socket 775) motherboard.

Being an idiot, I've broken a fin on my Akasa AK-965 CPU cooler, so need to replace it with something new.

I was looking at:

Size wise, I think it would fit in my case (Antec Sonata III), but I'm not sure about the mounting onto the board. the pictures on the Akasa site seem to suggest that for LGA775, a little room is needed outside of the mounting holes, and from looking at the board, that just isn't available. Also, with the existing cooler, it comes quite close to the heat pipe that sits between the CPU and PCI-e slot, so need to make sure that won't be an issue. Anyone have any experience of this cooler on this board?

The other thing I wanted to ensure, is that the fan could blow horizontally out the back of my case, as I have no exhaust fan on top.

Can anyone offer any advice on this? or suggest a better cooler? Budget wise, I don't really wanna go any higher than £35 (preferably less, things are tight!)

The venom's dimensions are that of a 120mm fan (in terms of length and hight) + about 1inch more 'height' above the cpu. It is 2.8 inches wide + the width of a 120mm fan (or two if you put one on each side.

Outside the mounting holes? The 2.8 width is is the same as the mouting holes. But the length is that of a 120mm fan and as such just overhangs the top of my mobo a little.

I only have about 5mm clearance above the passive heatsinks on my mobo. It overhangs the northbridge slightly, plus the custom one thats between the cpu and the ram sockets. I understand there is an intel spc on how far into the cpu cooler's 'zone' they are to intrude. I doubt you will have a problem.
