new cpu cooler . No change ??

Ive just replaced my arctic cooler freezer 7 pro with a titan fenrir .. Acording to core temp and real temp there is no difference :confused:

Have i wasted £35 ???

Stressed it? Idle temps probably won't be a lot different.

What temps are you getting? Both idle and load.

Idle 44c core temp , 49c real temp , with 30c ambient . load is actually better now 60 core temp, and 65 real temp . About 5-6 c less than my A/C.

with new as5 might gain a bit more so ok i supose .... OH yeh my cpu is a e6600 @ 3.2 , 1.25v ....

Its extreamly hot in my office since i put a 42" plazma in here for the football ,so i should not be suprised

60c!!! Happy days. You wont really notice much of an impovement in idle temps. Load temps are where it counts.
Having a good hsf like the titan will give you more scope for overclocking.

Went from AC freezer 7 pro to Titan Fenrir as well! My idle temps only went down by about 2C but it was much more silent than ACF 7 pro. Load temps on prime95 went down by about 10C.

Fenrir in and very happy with it

Gone from 59'c Folding@home Load ([email protected] vcore) to 64'c peak IBT Load (3.6ghz @ 1.45 vcore)
