Hello guys what air cooler would you recommend under 35 pounds for i7 4790 that would be compatible with Corsair vengeance pro. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Okay, thank you, guys. Any ideas how would this compare to PURE ROCK BK009 CPU COOLER - 120MM for 31.99 from ocuk? There aren't many reviews of alpenföhn matterhorn pure edition and new coolers or at least I cant find them. Only asking as a friend is praising this cooler

if that's a non-k cpu, you don't really need an aftermarket cooler - the stock one is just about okay.
unless you want to run it quieter ofc

I have the intel stock cooler from Pentium g3258 and temps are quite high in the high 80s to low 90s under just 1 minute of video encoding. In games around 75 Celcius degree. Also, the cooler is loud.

oooh... ouch, that's hot.
i wonder if your stock cooler might be the one without the copper core, i know intel ships one that's pure aluminium (the lower quality one) for the cheaper cpus, and one with a copper core for the hotter cpus

I know I just installed this CPU today in my rig as a replacement for i3 today. I purchased a CPU from a guy who used it for CAD for 100 quid with mobo case 8gbram etc. I mean it was running a different OEM cooler. However when removing the plastic clip broke so I cant use it anymore. When installed with Pentiums g3258 cooler it hits those ridiculous temps thus asking for advice

yeah, matterhorn or hyper 212 are normally the to-go budget entry-level coolers. there's some on offer which are bigger and may provide better cooling. but as you rightly noted, ram clearance might be an issue
