New CPU fitting

I a new here- first post !
I have an ASUS A8 N32 SLi Deluxe motherboard 939 socket
currently running twin sli with 3 G ram and an xp 3500 @ 10% OC 2.42 Ghz

i aim to fit a new AMD 4400 64 twin core Toledo 2M cache 939 socket
I have updated the bios to latest version 4

my questions = will the new CPU work ok ? do i need to re set my bios to default? before putting the new processor in- or any thing else?
