New CPU for SIM racing and streaming

Hey guys,

I mainly use my pc for SIM racing, a bit of csgo and streaming.

I play csgo on a 240hz monitor and I SIM race on a Oculus rift S. I have also ordered the reverb G2 headset to replace the S which will require a bit more grunt. I would like to have enough processing power to be able to stream these games at the same time.

I know amd is meant to be the only platform to go for at the moment but with the price drop of the 9900k is this not a better option for my use of the pc? I need the absolute highest frame rates possible.

Rest of my system specs

Gtx1080ti
24gb ram
Samsung Evo SSD
4770k @4.5ghz

So confused as to what route to go for the cpu for my specific needs. Do I wait for the 4000 series and hope it's faster in games than the 9900k?

I use mine for AC in VR. Currently on a Pimax 5k+ with a G2 pre ordered.

I’m on a 9900k with HT off (none of the sims like HT btw) at 5.2 ghz with men tuned to 15/4000 1T and hand tuned timings. GPU is 2080ti

with that I get around 140fps average in VR since I have it set to 144hz in settings.

I do not stream so can’t tell you the hit you’ll get from streaming but it’s important to remember that different streaming platforms eat up different resources.

Have you tried it on ACC at all? Thats great information for me thank you. Be interesting to hear sort of FPS the latest ryzens get in the same scenario
