New CPU Help

I'd say it doesn't support the new 1333FSB CPU's like the 6850, looking at their web site the latest bios is 2006-12-12 and doesn't mention the G0 or 1333Mhz FSB processors as being supported specifically.

It may be that you need the latest bios, which I believe is Bios 15 do you have that?

Looking at the Abit forums it seems that Bios 15 might work with 1333Mhz FSB, what bios do you have?

You would need to put your old cpu in, flash the bios using the abit procedure whatever that is and then you go into the cmos and reset it to defaults then shutdown and put your new cpu in and reboot.

if you know someone with a core 2 duo 1033fsb you could put their cpu in, flash new bios then put your cpu in. or you could return your motherboard and buy a p35 board.

im gonna flash the bios ive read the notes about the latest bios version for my motherboard and itll work :)
Problem is it looks complicated and i cant use the program that does it for you by abit cause it dont support my OS :(

Just do it by floppy, and make sure you don't cut the power when flashing.
