New CPU installed but monitors not turning on.

Hello - Help is very much appreciated. Please see the below my current gaming PC - I received my new CPU today which is AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Cache Eight Core 4.5GHz (Socket AM4) Processor. I removed my old CPU & put my new one in. Turned my PC on but my monitors, mouse & keyboard wouldn't turn on. Took the CPU back out tried it again but I got the same result. I decided to put my old CPU back in but after 10-15 seconds my PC would randomly turn off, this keeps happening.

Could anyone point me in the right direction as what to do next?

Did you update your bios prior to installing the new cpu?

I'd clear the cmos / pull the battery.


With the cooler installed?

No - When my new CPU arrived today I just turned my PC off and tried installing it. Should i of updated my bios prior to installing it?

yes.
do you have access to another pc to put the most recent bios on a usb to update your motherboard BIOS?, it's pretty easy on msi boards

Yes I do but my PC cuts off after 15 seconds, unsure what to do?

When did you last update the bios?

I've got the new BIOs on a USB but my PC turns off after 15 seconds.
