I've loaded defults on mobo, but i cant get through an instal of wow without it crashing.

Aslo memory in bios is set to ddr400, but cpuz says its running at 166mhz

dual core 3800+
asrock dual sata 2

CPU was at 39deg when it crashed last, thats not overheating is it ?

try disabling spread spectrum in the memory settings. CPU temp is a good one it can't be overheating lol.

Ive disabled that and i diddnt get a crash all day. I installed wow and played it for just over an hour fine

Its clocked at 2.5 and temp hit a max of 46 in speedfan.

Is that ok

(PS Thanks for the replies:) )

Mine is STILL crashing. It was clocked at 2.5 and its crashing after about an hour.

The temp has never hit 50 according to speed fan so im not sure its anything to do with temp?

Im worried i diddnt do the thermal compound correct. I rubbed it off cooler with a towel, then put blops of new thermal compound on it and rubbed it in with finger till it was a nice even thin layer.

Im not sure if its memory related either. I had crashes on wow before but when i dropped divider to 133 it worked flawless.

Doesnt work this time tho:(

Bought it back down to 2.2ghz and its crashed :(

Edit - speedfan is telling me my cpu is 35 idle but in bios its saying its 45-47 IDLE.. hmmm?

Ive wiped off most of the thermal paste there was just the THINNEST layer possible on the heat sink.

Ive been sitting here for 10mins now watching the temp in BIOS and it says

CPU TEMP 43C
M/B TEMP 38C

My room is 24.6c could that be why its always soooo hot?

If this is 43 idle its probably going to get close to, if not break 60 under load?

Speedfan still insists its 35/36 idle tho.

Great back to square one, tried to add my slave drive and now it wont boot again.

Fans spin up and nothing, FFFFFFFSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I have never o/c my graphics card as i dont know how.

I have tried new memory and it still doesnt boot.

I have tried new mobo/graphics card / psu.

Ive cleared cmos and it still wont boot, monitor doesnt even get turned on. Only thing that happens is the fans spin up to max and stay there.

Second time in 2 weeks this has happend. The first time the only thing that worked was buying a new cpu. Which only lasted 3 days now the problem is back.

Idears? Only thing i can think of is electricity issue? Its connected through an extension thats connected to another extension, which are overloaded.
